Child Care Academy – Ghana
Nderago Donkor zacchaeus created this organization in Ghana in the Ashanti region in Ghana for orphans and disabled children. They are catering for about 100 children at the moment, providing clothes, food and education in Maths, as well as in English, for them. Attempting to make them feel welcome and at home, our members also spend their leisure time with them.
Paper for All helped in the initial steps of the creation of this organization in Ghana.

Introduction:
Promised Land Foundation is an orphanage, an institution for disabled Ghanaian children. It is a non-profit making organisation which was established in the year 2005 by Nderago Donkor Zacchaeus and his friend from the United Kingdom.
Nderago Donkor Zacchaeus himself is a disabled person who has completed HND Accountancy through the sponsorship of his friend. Through that, they legally established this foundation in order to assist those who are in need, orphans or who are physically disabled in any kind. The orphanage has helped already four people who are now in senior high schools.
In year 2011, the foundation decided to start a pre-school to assist deprived children in the society in order to make them responsible citizens
The academy started off with 38 children, all in the age between four and ten apart from those in senior high school.
Nderago saved some money from his allowance during his National Service at St. Patrick’s Hospital in Offinso with the help of Mr Johnson. Renting an incomplete building, they developped it in order to accommodate some of the orphans as well as the volunteers.
Unfortunately, the sponsor, Mr Johnson, passed away on 25th September 2012 and therefore Nderago sought assistance from the local chief in the area and some friends. He was able to continue the project and four temporary classrooms have been built.
